Concentric Health to showcase UK-leading digital consent platform at The Surgeon Show 2026

Concentric Health will showcase its UK-leading digital consent-to-treatment platform, Concentric, at The Surgeon Show 2026, demonstrating how digital innovation can transform patient consent, shared decision-making and clinical documentation across healthcare systems worldwide.

Founded with a mission to make healthcare decision-making more patient-centred, informed and collaborative, Concentric Health developed its flagship application to modernise the consent-to-treatment process. The application enables clinicians to create personalised, patient-specific consent information using an extensive evidence-based content library of more than 3,000 procedure templates.

With integrated remote consent functionality, patients are able to review information ahead of the day of treatment, improving preparedness and helping to reduce last-minute treatment delays or cancellations. This approach supports more meaningful conversations between clinicians and patients, while ensuring consent is an ongoing process rather than a last-minute administrative task.

Unlike paper-based consent or generic digital tools, Concentric is designed around shared decision-making. The application fits seamlessly into existing clinical workflows through an integration-first approach with electronic clinical systems, ensuring high-quality, standardised documentation without compromising clinician-led personalisation.

Concentric’s approach is already delivering proven results at scale. The platform is deployed across more than 40 NHS organisations, including Imperial College Healthcare and Oxford University Hospitals, as well as major independent providers such as Circle Health Group. Today, Concentric is used by more than 15,000 clinicians each week and supports over 2 million patients annually.

Published clinical research shows that digital consent significantly improves documentation quality and reduces errors compared with paper consent, including fewer missing risks and completion errors. Studies also demonstrate substantial improvements in shared decision-making, with “gold-standard” shared decision-making increasing from 28% to 72%, alongside higher patient satisfaction and understanding. Together, these improvements support safer care, fewer delays or cancellations, and reduced medicolegal risk.

Dr Patrick Hart, Growth and Partnerships Clinician at Concentric Health, said:
“Consent is not just a formality – it is a critical clinical interaction that underpins patient understanding, trust and safety. We are excited to demonstrate how Concentric enables truly shared decision-making at scale, while supporting clinicians with high-quality, evidence-based documentation.”

Far from a traditional conference, The Surgeon Show is a dynamic, conversation-led gathering where every perspective counts and every voice can shape the future of surgical practice. From main stage sessions to breakout discussions, the event encourages open dialogue on what truly matters in modern surgery from the operating theatres of the future to the transformative power of AI, robotics and new technologies.
