The Surgeon Show 2026 to Launch in London as the UK’s Exclusive Summit for Surgical Leaders
A bold new era in surgical leadership will begin in February 2026 with the launch of The Surgeon Show – an exclusive, one-day summit designed to unite the UK’s most forward-thinking surgical minds for a day of challenge, collaboration, and innovation.
Taking place on Friday 20 February 2026 at The Minster Building in central London, The Surgeon Show breaks away from the traditional conference format. This invitation-only event brings together consultant surgeons, clinical directors, policymakers, and healthcare innovators for a dynamic programme focused on the future of surgery.

Curated in partnership with Surgery, the summit is built around real interaction and honest discussion, providing a rare space for surgical leaders to shape what’s next – not just in theory, but in practice.
“This isn’t a passive experience – it’s where the leaders of surgery come to challenge, connect, and collaborate,” said Professor Shafi Ahmed, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and multi-award-winning teacher, futurist, innovator, and entrepreneur.
“The Surgeon Show 2026 is about looking forward – exploring how emerging technologies, data, and innovation can elevate surgical care, and how we as leaders can shape that future together. This summit goes beyond education. It’s about transformation.”
Curated Content. Impactful Conversations.
The Surgeon Show 2026 will feature two themed content tracks, each designed to inspire bold thinking and practical innovation across the surgical landscape.
Tomorrow’s Theatre Today will explore the cutting edge of surgical practice, with sessions focused on the integration of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Surgery, Virtual Reality, 3D Printing, and Robotics. These technologies are rapidly transforming the way surgeons operate, train, and deliver care – and this track will examine how they can be harnessed to build the theatre of tomorrow, today.
Tomorrow’s Technology Today will take a broader look at the systems, strategies, and global developments shaping surgical innovation. Topics will include Surgical AI Navigation, Surgical Leadership, Surgical Innovations, Global Surgery, and The Digital Surgeon. From leadership challenges to advances in navigation tools, this track will provide insights into how surgical pioneers are driving change both within and beyond the operating room to deliver better care, safer outcomes, and stronger systems.
“Whether you’re advancing robotic programmes, leading theatre teams, shaping policy, or building surgical technologies, this summit is for you,” added Professor Ahmed.
“We’re creating an environment where open thinking, shared learning, and bold strategy can flourish. What sets The Surgeon Show apart is its format. This is not a lecture circuit or trade exhibition – it’s a collaborative summit where any delegate might become the keynote speaker, and every voice matters.”
A Summit Built for Impact
Strictly invitation-only, The Surgeon Show 2026 limits delegate numbers to ensure high-quality engagement and meaningful networking, free from the constraints of traditional conference structures.
Hosted in the striking Minster Building – a venue chosen for its atmosphere of modernity and ambition – the setting reflects the summit’s purpose: to spark change and accelerate progress in surgery.
